Philippe, our warm and charming host, made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The breakfasts were delicious, and we were lucky enough to enjoy a magical dinner evening hosted by Philippe. Our children were thrilled to be a part of it all and felt like little princes and princesses. We can't wait to return to Valenciennes and stay here again!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Le Grand Duc in France and it was an amazing experience. As soon as I arrived, Philippe, the owner, made me feel incredibly welcome. He was friendly and fluent in English, which made communication easy. the hotel itself was beautifully restored, with unique artwork throughout. the gardens were absolutely delightful and I enjoyed exploring them. While dinner wasn't available, the exceptional breakfast gave me confidence that the dinner would have been equally delicious. The room I stayed in was spacious and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. Cons: Nothing, all was good. 😊.
